The INWES Education and Research Institute is a charitable organization formed by the International Network of Women Engineers and Scientists (INWES) in order to: “Advance education in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) worldwide through an international network of organisations, foundations and experts.”
The Institute is governed by a Board of Directors. Its processes are guided by the laws in Canada for charitable organisations. Its activities are planned and executed through five committees: programs, research, education communications, and fund development. Institute functions are administered by three committees: executive, finance and nominations.
